Jeffs Seven Summits ?

People take on challenges for many reasons in life, some we are forced to take on, some we choose and some choose us.

The Seven Summits, the highest peak on every continent of the globe has become a challenge that at first was seemingly impossible, a vision, something that other people do and certainly not me, I have thought about this challenge for many months and after spending a great month in Nepal in April climbing Island and Mera Peak's its time to go after higher heights.

How did this all start well from a simple email exchange........

Earlier in the year I wrote to a friend!
"depending on how my climbs go in April, ill be looking at the possibility of climbing Mt McKinley, Aconcagua, Elbrus and Possibly Vinson in Antarctica ……  well thats the dream, lets see if that dream becomes a reality for the rest of the year in 2014!"

The Friend wrote back:
"a true adventure...Your upcoming climbs in the Himalayas sound life changing...just the type of spectacular scenery that will further transform you and continue to strengthen you...physically and from the soul...  You've got an impressive list of mountains to climb...and I have no doubt that 2014 will be an unbelievable year for you............dreams are wonderful.!!!!!!!!!!! "

And from that conversation this dream started, now it hasn't exactly all gone to plan, in December I climbed Kilimanjaro, in April Island and Mera Peak, than I kind of had a break exploring much of Europe, Alaska and the United States.

A couple of months ago I decided to bring the dream back to reality, and have scheduled the impossible task of completing Aconcagua by December, not quiet sure if ill make the top but at the very least it will be a great learning experience, and I wont stop till its done, I'm certain no matter what happens on this one, ill be giving it everything I have, and than a bit more.

I've scheduled in 2015:
1. Scotland Mountaineering Training (a week or two feb/mar)
2. Mt Mckinley (May)
3. Elbrus (July)
4. Vinson (December)

After these dreams become a reality, ill decide on the final tick box of April 2016 or 2017 at 8,848m.

Dreams really are wonderful things!

Thanks Friends!

Cheers
